Loader Ingest
Loader Ingest is a Loader feature, that allows you to upload files from production environment to asset placeholder in Media Pocket. The files are linked to the right placeholder/project via Media Pocket External ID.
Ingest workflow
- When the placeholder/project is created, assign an External ID (1234 for example) to it
- Name the file(s) you want to upload with the External ID (123) as prefix, for example 1234_filename.extension
- Move the file(s) to loader/media/ingest
- The file(s) will be immediately moved to ingest/process while Loader searches for a placeholder or project with a matching ID
- When ingest is successful, Loader will move the file(s) to ingest/successful
- If Loader is unable to find a placeholder, project or the file extension is not allowed, Loader will move the file(s) to ingest/failed
Placeholder: can only receive one file with the same External ID
Project: can receive multiple files with the same External ID
Configurable Loader features
Project destination: a project destination can be added and all assets uploaded to the ingest folder will go to that project regardless of the filenames
Custom Fields: you may add pre-defined custom field values to be added to all assets ingested via Loader
Media Pocket Tags: you may add pre-defined tags to be added to all assets ingested via Loader
